Modeling Excellence
HIP Africa School was established in 2015 by Livingstone Kegode and Fredrick Manzugu to provide access to education for children in our village who were previously unable to attend school. Many of these children were excluded from learning due to poverty, lack of awareness, insufficient learning materials, and the need to work in homes or on farms to support their families.
A large number of our students are orphans, while others come from single-parent households or live with their grandparents. HIP Africa School was created to respond to these challenges—particularly poverty and child labor—by offering a safe, supportive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to receive an education.

HIP Africa operates from its pioneer center in Mukuyuni, near Kimilili, situated on a one-acre farm that is home to both HIP School and HIP Farm. This physical presence strengthens our connection to the community we serve.
